Blind Contour Friday # 1 is here

Fabulous artistDsc01782 Dsc01779Niff has started a new thing on her website http://www.inkfinger.us/ whereby you are invited to make a weekly blind contour drawing ( drawing the shape of on object, while looking only at the object itself and not the paper) and today is the inaugural Friday of.... Blind Contour Friday! So here are mine.  Check her site for others. I didn't look at my hand, but it was kind of in my peripheral vision (it being attached to my body) so don't yell at me and say I cheated, because I did NOT. I also drew my Moulin Rouge sunflowers from a few days ago. They are starting to sag a bit, but aren't we all. I blind painted after I drew. There can be a fun energy to these kinds of drawings. One thing is for sure,  they are loose !

WOW! I LOVE The flowers...especially the blind painting. It is so much fun seeing the details people concentrate on. Thanks for participating, I really can't wait to see more from you.

The blind painting is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to borrow the idea for the next BCF!

hehehe!!!! The Blind Painting looks just like something my 2 year old would do!!!!!

That's not to say your painting isn't good!!! it's the loose, free lines combined with the color!!!!

I love this! I don't have any time this week, but i will try this too!!!!

The hand is the best of all the drawings i've seen so far.

just quickly Laura 'cause my internet connection is all kaflooie, (hope this gets through, can't e-mail at all) this is wonderful

Neat. I'm going to try it next week. And your hand looks like the one I practiced a week to get right. And you did it without looking? More practice for me.
