I'm a little behind on my blog reading. So sorry to hear about your mother. Even thought it was her time, I know it's hard. I was with my favorite aunt when she died. It was hard and wonderful at the same time. One moment she was there and then, even though her body was there, you could tell her essence was gone. My parents are both in the 80's and I worry my day is coming before long.

Laura,

I fall out of touch for a moment and so much happens--shall write you elsewhere.

Bless you, bless you. Teary with a hint of sun.

Laura,
Your drawings of your mother are tender and beautiful. Your feelings come through the gentle lines. I'm so glad you were able to be with her at this important time, but so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you today.

I am overwhelmed by the grace that both you and your mother have shared with us. I spent 10 years counseling families living with cancer and am now an administrator in a cancer institute. If all could have the love you've shared, and recognize it for the gift it is even at the end, the world would be a more peaceful and light-filled place. I know you're grieving but at the heart of your grief I feel gratitude and that is a wonderful thing.

Laura, my deepest sympathies for your great loss. I'm so glad you and your brother could be with her at the end. Thank you for sharing your loving tribute.
Roz
